Gerry and Danny Dunne of Grovely Riding Centre in Witon are producing young quality horses who have potential for a great future in the competition world. We have a superb selection of young horses who have been chosen for their ability, breeding, peformance and temperaments, all essential components of the competion horse.
These talented atheletic horses are produced by Dan who trained with Andy Austin and international showjumper Roelof Bril in Holland, between 2009 and 2017, gaining valuable experience competing abroad and meeting new contacts. His professional outlook combined with a serious interest in breeding and a dedicated team supporting him has resulted in excellent national results and allowed him to produce horses from novices through to the start of their international careers. To see some of these successful horses have a look at our References.
Gerry, a former English teacher, also produced young showjumpers but now devotes her time to supporting Danny and the running of the sucessful Livery yard and riding school that has been operating since 1975. Grovely Riding Centre located 3 miles west of Salisbury in Wilton has 2 arenas with a full set of showjumps, 5 stall horse walker, solarium and individual turn out paddocks. The yard also has access to miles of beautiful woodland tracks important to allow young horses to relax and improve their strength and fitness.
We aim to provide horses that suit a wide range of budgets and riders from foals and young stock up to horses jumping at the highest national level. The horses for sale are all vacinated, have their teeth and backs checked regularly and often come vetted and x-rayed when we buy them but buyers are welcome to get vetted again upon purchase.
As well as competition horses we also buy, sell and can source promising well bred youngstock, embryos and broodmares. We also concentrate on breeding our own foals from mares with interesting pedigrees and proven dam lines to stallions who compete or have offspring competing at top level.
